Coastie Candle Co.

My name is Bridget, I live in northwest Indiana with my husband and two rescue pups. I have always struggled with store bought candles and allergies, so I set out to make my own. I've been testing and developing my candles that are safe and have a clean burn. I wanted to share my love of making with you. I make small batch, hand poured candles using only high quality safer ingredients. 

The fragrance oils I use are phthalate free, vegan and clean, all of which are never tested on animals.

I use coconut apricot wax which is paraben free, more sustainable than most waxes on the market. Coconut apricot wax has a lower viscosity so it burns longer and produces a cleaner burn over other waxes. A unique feature of this wax is that a traditional melt pool, where the wax is fully melted to the edge of the container, isn’t necessary. As long as the wax continues to melt and slide into the wax, the wax will be fully utilized.

The wicks are flat-braided cotton wick. They burn with a tighter controlled flame, which helps ensure that glass containers don’t overheat on one side.
